Is Grounded 2 on Xbox Game Pass?
Okay, first off, who else is just dying for Grounded 2? Seriously, I’ve been thinking about it like every other day. It’s finally gonna be on Xbox Game Pass—well, sorta. You’ve got the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC with PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. But if you’re on the console-specific Xbox Game Pass Standard, no dice. Total buzzkill, right?
Grounded 2 Will Be on Game Pass, but There’s a Catch
So here’s the deal: Grounded 2 is dropping soon—like, two weeks soon. Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios decided to surprise us with this sequel to their 2020 hit. You remember that game where you’re like ant-sized teens? Now they’re throwing in this massive Brookhollow Park map, RPG buildcrafting (whatever that means?), and get this—rideable bugs. Ants and orb weavers, people. Like, what even?
So, does this mean we can just dive into it with Xbox Game Pass? Yeah, kinda. Well, if you’ve got the Ultimate version, you’re golden—can’t say the same for the Standard peeps. Maybe it’s a cash grab, or maybe I’ve just had too much coffee. I couldn’t tell you.

Anyway, moving on—seriously, I’ve always wanted to use one of these headings. Subscribers to Ultimate or those on PC Game Pass can jump in for $19.99/month or $11.99/month on PC. Plus, if you’re into cloud gaming, that’s a thing too. You could technically snag a deal on CDKeys for less, which is a big win if you ask me—but no one did, obviously.
How Else Can You Play Grounded 2?
And for those who hate subscriptions (or love to hate them), Xbox, PC, or Steam will set you back $29.99 outright. Oh, and there’s a Founder’s Edition for $39.99 with cool extras like skins and emotes. The goodies are tempting, I know.
One curious thing I saw—talk about a sneaky strategy—prices are staying this way during Early Access. After that, who knows? Could shoot up like the original did.
If you’re as pumped as I am, maybe snag it early. Or don’t. Your call.
So, there you have it. Grounded 2, coming soon and ready to eat up all our free time. Who else feels like a kid waiting for Christmas?
