Wow, so, I stumbled across this life sim game called inZOI, and it’s been making some noises lately. They were supposed to drop this big update in May but, surprise surprise, it didn’t happen until June. Yup, classic delay. Don’t you just love it when that happens?
Anyway, once the update hit, folks seemed to dig it. Well, mostly. I mean, some Steam reviews were a bit meh about it, but hey, you win some, you lose some, right? Krafton, the publisher, even slapped a sale tag on it for the first time since going early access. Random fun fact: that’s actually when I decided to check it out.
Oh, oh, and there’s more! There’s this DLC unveiling at gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19. It’s that big gaming show hosted by Geoff Keighley. Ever been? No? Neither have I, but it sounds wild.
This new DLC will add a bunch. Think a new map split into two islands. Okay, picture this: the main island is all about farming and fishing (kinda chill, if you ask me) and it’s called Cahaya, inspired by Southeast Asia. Then the other island is like a resort. I can already imagine myself kicking back there after a long day of virtual farming.
And if you’re at the convention, lucky you, because you can try Cahaya firsthand. I’m kinda jealous about that. But yeah, still no clue when the DLC actually drops. Gotta love the waiting game. Maybe gamescom’ll spill the beans. Fingers crossed.
In the meantime, there’s a ton of stuff you can mess around with in inZOI. Cheats are a thing (wink wink), and for any deep-dives, there’s guides on stuff like changing your gender, curing in-game sickness, and the karma mechanic. No idea why karma has always fascinated me, but it has. Guess we’ll see what inZOI does with it.
