Stellar Blade kinda took everyone by storm last year, right? I mean, who knew — out of nowhere, it just, like, hit and actually succeeded. Anyway, this year, seems like Shift Up’s riding that wave with a new PC version. Oh, and hold up, there’s a Complete Edition too. Didn’t see that coming.
So, about that release date for the PC and PS5 Complete Edition? Yeah, the official PlayStation channel on YouTube dropped the ball and accidentally leaked a new trailer. Classic. It got yanked down real quick, but of course, the internet never forgets. Fans snagged it and plastered it all over the Stellar Blade subreddit. June 11 is when you circle the calendar for both the PC and Complete Edition on PS5 and PC. Same day drop, that’s neat, I guess.
What’s in the Complete Edition, you ask? Well, they’re packing it with stuff. Full game, obviously, plus some wild extras like the Planet Diving Suit (Captain) for Eve — whatever that is. You also get the Fluffy Bear Pack Drone Cosmetics. Not sure what that’s about, but sounds cute? And those Nikke and Nier: Automata DLCs. Preorder folks get some quirky stuff too: Classic Round Glasses, Ear Armor Earrings, and another Planet Diving Suit but, like, White Edition this time.
Prices? Nope, details on that weren’t in the botched trailer. But since they spilled the beans early, shouldn’t be long till they spill all the beans.
Stellar Blade got some solid reviews last year. Metacritic showed it off with an 81 from a bunch of critics. Heck, it even got a nod at a bunch of award shows — like it snagged the Platinum trophy for Best New Character from the PS Blog’s Game of the Year Awards. Pretty impressive.
And oh, sales? Through the roof, man. Shift Up was so stoked they dropped a hefty bonus on their employees — like 5 million won each, which is about $3,400 in USD terms. Plus, employees got PS5 Pros. Not bad, huh?
