Nintendo just dropped this crazy eight-minute trailer for something called Drag x Drive. Seriously, check it out. It’s part of this Global Jam thingy happening over a weekend, August 9th and 10th, 2025. No idea why they picked those dates—maybe they’re lucky?
Anyway, first heard about Drag x Drive during that flashy Nintendo Direct where they were hyping up the Switch 2. It’s this wild 3v3 sports mashup, kinda like a fever dream of steering and stunts. You use these new Joy-Con 2 things with mouse controls. It’s like patting your head and rubbing your stomach, but on steroids.
When I got my hands on it, I was like, “Whoa.” You know, unexpectedly fun. But I couldn’t shake this nagging feeling. Something’s off. Maybe it’s just me being paranoid, but I’m worried—will people actually play this? The controls are a trip, and they work, surprisingly. But will people stick around after the novelty fades? That’s the million-dollar question.
Mark your calendars or whatever, because Drag x Drive hits the Nintendo eShop exclusively for Switch 2 on August 14th, 2025. Wonder how it will fare globally. Your guess is as good as mine.
