Okay, so here’s the thing. Imagine being told your new Netflix obsession, “KPop Demon Hunters,” somehow hooks up with your classic love, Star Wars. I mean, really? I’d have laughed. Like what’s the link between those wild Jedi game folks – Cal Kestis, Bode Akuna, Merrin – and the KPop scene’s Rumi, Zoey, and Mira from HUNTR/X?
Turns out, they both love looking epic and demolishing baddies. Go figure.
Anyway, there’s this killer video by AnimatedJen. If you need some ‘wow’ to start your day, this is your jam. They’ve got “How It’s Done” from HUNTR/X cranked up, and Cal, Bode, Merrin are just smashing Empire dudes all over the place. Not like… falling from the sky epic, but still pretty rad.
So picture this: Bode chirps, “You want some more? Cal, I think they want some more,” and then bam! Cal is kicking a shoretrooper’s butt and Bode swoops in with a jetpack punch. Merrin? She’s just twirling her staff like a pro. And I’m already pumped – with still more to see!
I’ve been on AnimatedJen’s channel journey for ages. It’s all about the love and craft they spill into this alternate universe saga with Cal. Jedi games have fans buzzing, hoping these characters hit live-action screens someday.
The magic of Star Wars, right? Fans just grabbing the lore and twisting it their way. Canon doesn’t even matter (seriously, what’s “canon” in this universe?). But, hey, what if Cal, Merrin, and yeah, Bode suddenly vibe with K-Pop powers to nail some stormtroopers? Could it happen? Who’s to deny it? Nobody, that’s who! Let’s call this team… MANT/S. And, hum, Cere Junda as their manager? Someone, please, pen this and toss it onto AO3, just for me. By the way, modders, those outfits need crafting. Start yesterday, please!
Meanwhile, you’ll find me diving back into Jedi: Fallen Order, blaring “Takedown” while I gleefully hack apart Imperial soldiers.
