State of Play June 2025: Complete Announcements and Trailers

Alright, so here we are. State of Play bombarded us with announcements, right? Game reveals, dates, and all that jazz. You might’ve missed it or just want to replay the whole shebang, and I’ve got you sorted.

First things first, there’s this big video of the show you can watch below. And then, if you’re like, “But what about individual game deets?” I’ve got those too. Each game got its moment in the spotlight, trailers and all — some might say a sneak peek into the souls of the creators. Maybe.

Astro Bot fans, gather ‘round. New levels—Vicious Void Galaxy, sounds intense. And hey, an Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense controller’s on its way. Smiley version, because why not? Check out what the folks at Team Asobi Studio are hyped about over on the PS Blog. They know their stuff.

Now, here’s a twist. Baby Steps. This quirky walking sim is walking (ha!) onto PS5 on September 8. See some fancy footwork in the gameplay trailer. Watch this onesie-clad hero tackle nature, or something like that.

Oh, and Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement. Dive into the Ethereal Castle! Two heroes, Leo and Alex—tag team style. Switch ‘em up with a button press. Flex those gaming muscles ‘cause it’s dropping next year.

Cairn is scaling new heights on PS5 November 5. It’s all about that climb, don’t you know? Path planning, resource handling, and a demo to try your strength early. The Game Bakers spill the beans in a blog post somewhere.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger! More characters, more Digimon antics, setting loose October 3. Remember when they last showed up in February? Now, get a load of the latest trailer.

Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots is back — and, uh, swing away. September 5. There’s a surprise guest: Pac-Man. Yep, that one. Get in early for that unlock.

Final Fantasy Tactics returns with The Ivalice Chronicles on September 30. They’re adding voices and dazzling new features. Square Enix will give you the rundown if you’re all about strategy.

Mortal Kombat’s past returns with Mortal Kombat Kollection, detailing the franchise’s rich history. Oh, and it’s all showcased on PS4 and PS5 thanks to Digital Eclipse.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound returns to its roots with scorching action-platform brilliance. Coming July 31, it’s keeping the franchise’s spirit alive.

Nioh 3 lands on PS5. Samurai and Ninja styles await. Quick moves, style switches—it’s all in a day’s play. There’s a demo if you want a taste.

PlayStation Plus teases us with goodies like Deus Ex, Twisted Metal, Resident Evil classics — mark the dates if you’re keen for nostalgia.
