Sure thing, let’s dive into it.

So, here’s the scoop: Chris Avellone, yeah, that Chris – the one with a résumé thick enough to rival a phone book – has hitched his wagon to Republic Games. Not even kidding. I happened to stumble upon Adam Williams’ LinkedIn ramble about it. Apparently, hiring top-shelf talent is his jam.
Williams was all praises when he chatted up Eurogamer, talking big game about this new RPG they’re cooking up. “Rich and interesting story,” he says. Lots of twists, turns, multiple endings, you get it. Sounds like one of those books with choices, if you remember those.
For Williams, Avellone is like… top tier. A storytelling wizard, if you will. He’s like, the guy who helped shape the RPG scene during its golden era, which, if you blinked, you might’ve missed. That era, not Chris.
Anyway, Williams is hyped. Says they’re brewing a dark fantasy tale, something immersive (buzzword alert!) with an interactive story that promises to bring back that old RPG magic – and maybe pump it with steroids or something.
Everyone there is buzzing. Like, “dream team” level buzzing. More updates coming soon, supposedly. I guess they’re keeping secrets tighter than a jar lid you can’t open.
Oh, right, side note: Avellone had that whole controversy back in 2020, accusations and whatnot. He’s firmly in the “I didn’t do it” camp, for the record.
And that’s the lowdown.
