Oh man, so Rob Yescombe, right? He’s the guy behind that VR mystery game, The Invisible Hours. Apparently, he’s got the rights back. Woohoo! Like, what? Suddenly, there’s talk about a remaster for all the cool new VR gear, and maybe even, I don’t know, TV or film stuff?
I saw this in Hollywood Reporter. They’re saying Yescombe’s on the hunt for buddies to team up for a movie or TV gig. Honestly, The Invisible Hours kinda stood out in the murky sea of VR mysteries—Agatha Christie vibes mixed with a dash of Clue. Picture this: you’re just a fly on the wall watching this mind-boggling murder unfold in some old mansion. No playing detective—just lurking around, rewinding and fast-forwarding to see which of the seven oddballs bumped off Nikola Tesla. Yes, that Tesla. Wild, right?
Anyway, back in 2017, it dropped on PC VR and PSVR. Everyone seemed to dig it. Fast forward to 2020—Tequila Works planned a Quest version but poof! They vanished into thin air by 2024. So, here’s Yescombe now, with his shiny IP rights saying, “Hey, perfect time for a spruce-up for the young bloods!”
You know, he goes on about how much he loved making the game. He once told Hollywood Reporter it was like, the best creative thing he ever did in life. Fans still chat him up. I sorta get it; the VR scene exploded since 2017. Millions have joined the party. Feels like a great time to dust off the old mansion, eh?
Since then, Yescombe’s been scribbling away on other stuff like The Twilight Zone VR and Arizona Sunshine 2. There’s this newer one, The Precinct, maybe you’ve heard? Oh, and he’s dabbled with TV flicks like Outside the Wire, and if you’re into it, Paul Feig’s Jackpot! came up in 2024. He’s done bits with Alien, Blade Runner, Family Guy—even The Twilight Zone. Man gets around, huh?
