Alright, buckle up, folks. So, here’s the scoop on Civilization 7 — been out for a few months now, right? And um, the reaction has been… meh. Like, people are kinda into this new “Ages” thing they’ve got going, but then there’s this whole mess with the endgame wins. Not super exciting, apparently. Firaxis Games though, those folks are like, “Don’t worry, we’ve got this,” and they’re tossing out updates. Plus, there’s some DLC coming. The “Right to Rule Collection” or something — promises some fresh new leaders and wonders. Kind of exciting, I guess. If you’re into that sorta thing.
Oh! Speaking of stuff getting leaked — a data miner (not like a real miner, though that’d be fun!) poked around Epic Games’ stuff and found tidbits about DLC packs. The “Crossroads of the World” one already dropped in March, just like our sneaky friend predicted. Now, the Right to Rule DLC, if these leaks aren’t just hot air, could be bringing back some big shots in Civ history. Thumbs up or down? Your call.
So, if you’re into juicy deets, buckle up cuz here comes the fun bit on leaders and civs. We’ve got Genghis Khan — you know, the guy with the whole Mongol Empire thing going on — making a return. Imagine him charging across Europe and Asia, probably on horseback… or maybe with scary amounts of pixel power. Anyway, he’s always been into domination wins. Fits, right? Nothing official on his new fancy traits yet.
Then there’s Lakshmibai. Total powerhouse from 19th-century India, kicked some major colonial backside. Was a Great General in the last game, now she’s stepping up as a leader. How neat, right?
And the civs, let’s see. Four newbies rollin’ onto the scene: Assyria, Dai Viet, Qajar, and Silla. Each one with its quirky past. Assyria’s back from ancient times — Mesopotamian vibes and all that. Dai Viet, an explorer’s dream out of Vietnam. Qajar — Iranian royalty, and Silla — hitting you with late antiquity Korea.
Though, a little hiccup, apparently this DLC’s taking its sweet time with the launch. Was supposed to be out in bits from April to September 2025 but now seems like it’ll be more of a lazy summer thing.
