Okay, so here’s the thing. Activision’s been, well, kinda quiet about Black Ops 7. Oh, this year’s Call of Duty? Geez, it’s like they showed us this tiny teaser way back in June, just barely at the Xbox Showcase—then poof, silence.
They did say we’d hear more over summer, but did they pin down a date? Nah, of course not. Here we are, smack dab in July. Been more than a month since we even got a glimpse of Black Ops 7. Now, lo and behold, Activision decides August is the time to spill the beans. At gamescom, Opening Night Live, on August 19th, to be precise. Just a slice of the lineup pie, not even its own shindig. Weird, right? Call of Duty usually gets its own grand reveal—like, bananas—but I guess not this time.
Anyway—no, wait—so, yeah, come August 19th, who even knows what we’ll see? Maybe a big-deal showcase later in August, or even September? You know, before they launch into the beta madness. I mean, there’s tons they haven’t blabbed about, like the near-future setting and, oh, bringing co-op back into the mix? Fans are buzzing about whether there’s a link with Black Ops 6, too. An announcement like that would push things sooner rather than later, for sure.
No clue when it’s dropping, but November feels right for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, all that jazz. Anyway, just throwing all this out there because, well, why not.
