Oops, here we go. So, Nintendo Switch 2, quite the big deal, huh? If you’re itching to get your hands on it, prepare yourself for a bit of a wild goose chase — because those shelves are emptier than my mind on a Monday morning. Seriously, stock’s just vanishing, like poof. Magic or just everyone wants one right now.
Alright, why’s it such a buzz? Bigger. Better. Kind of like when you upgrade from a teeny Tiny Tim mug to one of those jumbo coffee holders that say “I need my caffeine.” It’s got bigger Joy-Cons — why are they called Joy-Cons anyway? Joy consoles? — a shiny new dock, and hey, a kickstand! And you’d better believe you might need one of those fancy microSD Express cards ’cause, if you’re anything like me, 256GB feels like barely enough. Too many games to play, not enough space — story of my life.
Now this screen — it’s 7.9 inches, and it’s 1080p. Sort of like taking off your glasses after a long day and realizing trees have leaves. In dock mode, you can even hit 4K! When you’re flying solo with it…120 fps, my friend, with HDR if the game’s on board with it. Totally makes Mario Kart feel like racecar driving, I imagine. Not that I’ve actually raced.
As for snagging one of these bad boys? Maybe get it on its lonesome… or bundle it up, Mario Kart and peripherals included. Just gotta keep an eye out for updates. Stocks bounce back quicker than my enthusiasm on Friday nights.
Right, and where to score these elusive treasures? In the U.S., they’re spotted at places like Best Buy, Walmart, and… what’s this… Antonline? Sounds like they sell obscure board games, but okay. GameStop and Newegg too, and let’s not forget trusty Target.
Cross the pond to the UK, and you’re looking at a lineup of ShopTo, Very, and Argos. Last I checked, there was stock available. But who knows, blink and you might just miss ’em. Anyway, always worth checking back — clearly, I’ve got more time for that than for hitting the gym.
Now, I’ll admit, it doesn’t make sense why I got so caught up on microSD cards or thought about races I’ve never driven, but maybe that’s the charm. Or just me being messy me.
