Alright, so, Space Marine 2 just dropped and everyone’s losing their minds — like, totally losing it. The game is a massive hit, both critics and players are vibing with it. And then, bam! We’re hit with the Space Marine Master Crafted Edition announcement at the Warhammer Skulls event. Personally, I didn’t see it coming, but maybe I was distracted by something shiny at the time. Who knows?
So, this isn’t your average re-release. It’s rolling out from SEGA and some folks called Sneakybox. They’re basically wizards who thought, “Hey, let’s throw in 4K, tweak the controls, pimp the models, and, why not, give the audio a little love too.” Vaidas Mikelskas, from Sneaky Box — he chimed in saying something like, it’s more of a “thoughtful restoration.” Sounds fancy, right? But, it makes sense in a way I can’t quite put my finger on.
And, oh boy, they’re bringing back all that classic stuff — campaign mode, PvE, PvP — you name it. Here’s the kicker though: the Orks! They’re getting a total makeover. Like, 100 new voice lines or something, and the models — fresh as heck. Just crossing fingers Warboss Grimskull keeps his wisecracks intact. Wouldn’t be the same without them, honestly.
Space Marine — a whole vibe back in the day, man. People still get that warm, fuzzy feeling thinking about it. So here we are, in this golden age of Space Marine fandom, and bam, a version of the cult classic for today’s consoles. Not gonna complain. Plus, the price ain’t too shabby — €39.99, or hop on Game Pass if you’re fancy like that.
Feeling hyped about diving back into this revamped world? Share your thoughts or don’t. Maybe I’m just rambling.
