Sure thing, here we go:

So, there’s this game studio, Ice Code Games. They’ve been mixing tactical battles with all sorts of spooky history vibes—like, think 19th-century Wild West but with demons. Yeah, that’s what they did with Hard West 2. Plus, they tackled pirate adventures in Rogue Waters. Totally different but also not? Anyway, now they’re shouting about a new creation: something like Hunt Showdown and XCOM 2 had a wild baby, called it Nightmare Frontier, and sent it off to the American West.
Now, at first glance, Nightmare Frontier might remind you of those Hard West games—strategy, Wild West, but throw in some monsters. Only, this game veers off a bit in its own crazy direction. They added this whole risk-reward thing. Basically, it’s like, “Hey, wanna fight monsters for shiny stuff? But oops, if you hang around too long, you might lose it all.” Sounds thrilling and terrifying, right?
Players? They’re scavengers. Yes, really desperate ones, roaming around a monster-infested town looking for loot. Creatures here are called Dreadweavers, which, honestly, sounds like something straight out of my nightmares. You gotta decide how long to stay, how much loot to grab before you’re like, “Okay, let’s bail before we lose it all.” And when you’re NOT battling these freaky beings? You’re back at base, crafting stuff from whatever you scavenged, prepping for the next showdown. It’s intense, man.
Anyway, it’s hitting Steam Early Access this summer. Maybe mark it on your calendar or wishlist it, if you’re into that. If you need a horror or action fix until then, we’ve got a list of top games to try out on PC. Seek, find, discover. Whatever.
And yeah, we’re all over Google News if you want daily nuggets of PC news, and our Discord server’s buzzing. Join us and gab about all things gaming—or even this story, if it tickles your fancy.
