Sure thing! Here’s a reimagined version:

Man, it’s hard to believe, but hey, The Witcher 3 has been around for like a whole decade now. Crazy, right? Lately, everyone’s diving back into old games—it’s like nostalgia overload. So, if hearing all this Witcher anniversary chatter has you reaching for your controller, there’s a new mod that might spice things up if you’re itching for The Witcher Remake.
So, imagine this: you’re swapping out one Witcher skill system for another, from an older game. Kind of like trading your baseball cards but for…skills. Which Witcher skill set is the best anyway? (Okay, okay, I’ll drop it.)
Anyway, this mod I stumbled upon is by someone named Gerwant30, who’s done some cool stuff like getting second in that big CD Projekt REDkit contest. They did this thing where you could explore a part of Cintra—pretty neat if you ask me.
Now, in this ongoing project called “Tales of the Witcher,” they’re bringing the skill system from the first Witcher game to TW3. Apparently, with this mod, you’re supposed to have a truckload more control over Geralt’s skill progression. We’re talking 13 new talent trees and like 200 new skills. Yeah, it sounds intense.
If you check out the video, it’s all about earning bronze, silver, and gold talents as you level up. You start with bronze, then boom—before you know it, you’ve got silver and gold and you’re a full-on master witcher.
There are these four main skill trees, including strength and dexterity, each with 17 skills. And that’s not all. Each Witcher sign has an 18 skill tree for deep specialization, plus four combat trees for strong and fast attacks—like, you get to choose your own combat adventure.
The modder mentions your character’s power mostly comes from how you build them. Skills, talents, and prepping define your strength, while equipment stats take a back seat. Kind of sounds like a dream for those into detailed build tinkering. Just a heads up—this mod is still in beta, so some parts are still being polished up.
Oh, and it only works with a fresh TW3 game. Don’t try using your old saves or the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine DLC—it won’t end well. Plus, you’ll need another mod called SkylineR390’s ‘Alchemy’ and maybe check out PsychoCaki’s ‘SCAAR’ or an immersive camera mod if you’re feeling fancy.
So, what do you think? Do you miss the first Witcher’s old-school skill system, or is The Witcher 3’s style second nature now? Kinda curious over here what everyone else thinks. Drop your thoughts!
