The Fighters Guild in Oblivion—or Oblivion Remastered—feels like a place where those juggernauts swinging massive warhammers actually fit. You gotta love Gogron gro-Bolmog for shaking up the norm, right? And thanks to this new mod, well, I might just ditch my sneaky archer and give it a whirl.
So, the other day, ColdTyrant—the modder extraordinaire—dropped a cool new mod. It’s basically a never-ending contract system for the Dark Brotherhood. Imagine going on a killing spree that nets you gacha rewards. Then, bam, the very next day, they introduce something for the Fighters Guild, which, spoiler alert, involves battling with folks who love their tree sap a bit too much.
This nifty addition, dubbed ‘Fighter’s Guild – Infinitum’, throws in over a hundred monster-hunting contracts that repeat indefinitely. It’s like this ever-expanding series now. Similar to the Dark Brotherhood’s system, this one has you picking up notes, sending you off to slay monsters scattered throughout Cyrodiil’s dungeons. Oh, and these creatures have this faint glow—kinda like they’re saying, “Hey, over here!”
Now, don’t get your hopes up for any gacha-style loot like in Morrowind. You’re looking at 500 gold per gig and two “Fighter’s Commendations”. It’s a currency for trading gear from this spanking new Fighter’s Guild Store tucked away in Leyawiin’s chapter basement.
ColdTyrant also mixed things up by letting you claim the top floor of the Leyawiin guildhall as your hangout. They changed up the NPC schedules, making it a tad harder to complain. Feels like living in The Witcher world, doesn’t it? If you dive into it, you might channel some Geralt vibes. Honestly, in Oblivion, there’s a 95% chance your character looks quirky enough to be a societal outcast, which kinda fits the whole monster hunter vibe, right?
If this ‘Infinitum’ thing tickles your fancy, remember you’ll need some techy stuff—Oblivion Remastered’s UE4SS and UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector.
Also, a little tip: ColdTyrant teased that they’re plotting something similar for the Arena in the Imperial City. So, if you’re back in the Fighters Guild, say a cheeky hello to Modryn Oreyn for me, and keep an eye on our Oblivion Remastered mods journey.
