Sure thing, here’s my take on it:
Okay, so today is like Christmas for anyone who’s been desperate to get their hands on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. If you pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition, you’re in! That’s right, early access is live. The rest of the world joins the party on July 11. And get this— you can play it on pretty much anything: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4. Oh, and did I mention Game Pass Ultimate? It’s all there.
Now, I’m reminiscing a bit here. Remember spending hours just trying to nail that one trick in the older games? Honestly, I don’t know why I tried to pull those moves off when I could barely skate in real life. But anyway, this new release is like a mashup of old and new. They’ve got classic skaters back, new faces to mess around with, and even some mysterious ones like Andy Anderson and Bam Margera. Why ‘mysterious’? I dunno, it just sounds cool.
And the soundtrack— a mix of classics and new jams. Pure eargasm if you ask me. Whether you’re playing as Tony himself or making up your own skater buddy with the Create-A-Skater feature, there’s a ton to do. Oh, and building your dream skatepark is a thing. Not kidding. Create-A-Park is legit.
Jumping into the game is a ride, especially if you’re new. Here’s the deal— start simple. Don’t stress about those impossible 360 tricks right away. Hit the streets with ollies and kickflips first. Nail those, and then, hit the grind. Rails, benches, curbs… you’ve gotta start somewhere, right?
And those goals? Oh man, ticking them off is your ticket to more levels. Some are as easy as pie, others… not so much. But start with the easy ones like collecting the S-K-A-T-E letters— it’s more fun than you’d think. Plus, it helps you get familiar with the layout. Like, in the Foundry, the letter path is… I wanna say, perfectly chaotic? You get the drill.
Bailing’s a lifesaver too. Miss your trick? Hit RT when you’re about to make out with the ground. You’ll keep your Special meter full. Trust me, your virtual skater will thank you.
And speaking of epic spots, find a pocket in every level where you can go wild stacking up those points. There’s this one behind the ticket office in the College level— two parallel rails and a half-pipe. String those 50-50s and flips. Because why not?
If you’re diving deep into the Create-A-Skater world, pro tip: upgrade your Hangtime, Air, and Speed stats first. They’ll save your hide more times than you can count. If you’re not air-skating like a Hawk by then, well, at least you tried.
So, if you’ve snagged the Digital Deluxe Edition, you’re already shredding it out there (jealous). Those of you waiting for July 11, hang tight! It’s gonna be rad, wild, and as authentic as Tony Hawk himself. Whether you’re 8 or 80, grab a deck… or a controller, and dive back in. As they say in the game, the shred isn’t dead; it’s just had a killer makeover.
Have fun, and try not to wipe out!
