Arc Raiders Release Confirmed for October: Dreams Become Reality

Man, today was wild at the Summer Game Fest. Seriously, if you’re into Arc Raiders, you probably know what I mean. People were buzzing like bees after honey. Yeah, that’s a saying now. Anyway, ever since the second Tech Test wrapped up in May, fans have been itching like crazy to get back in. It’s like, why stop playing when you’re already hooked, right?

And I get it. The game was pretty polished even back then, which is kinda rare. Some folks were even begging for a sudden release. Didn’t quite get that today, but hey, we did get a release date, so there’s that.

Oh, but wait, side note—there was this weird moment with some cookie settings message. Totally threw me off. Like, why is it even there? But that’s another story.

Where was I? Right. So, no additional beta test yet. Bummer. Especially for those who didn’t get into that last Tech Test. Imagine sitting there, watching videos of others playing and having a blast. It’s like watching someone else eat your favorite pizza. But finally, everyone got something to cheer about. Embark is saying October 30, 2025, is the big day for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Seems like they added a bunch of new stuff since Tech Test 2, but guess we’ll only know once we dive in.

Thinking back, Arc Raiders didn’t really need much tweaking. It’s got personality, you know? A solid gameplay vibe that harks back to classic PUBG days. And yeah, that’s a compliment. Somehow, it makes me nostalgic for some good old chaos.

Oh, and there’s something about Embark and Geoff Keighley. Those guys seem tight. Remember when Arc Raiders was just this co-op shooter thing back at The Game Awards in 2021? Feels like a lifetime ago. Anyway, The Finals game dropped quietly at the 2023 Game Awards. So people were totally expecting some Arc Raiders scoop at this fest. And yep, here we are.

Okay, what was I saying again? Oh yeah, October can’t come soon enough.
