As you delve into this adventure, you’ll rub shoulders with some of the series’ most beloved characters like Jon Snow, Samwell Tarly, Lord Varys, and Cersei Lannister. You’ll also experience unique events, such as the dynamic shifts in allegiance by House Bolton. The journey spans the continent, taking you to well-known landmarks like King’s Landing, Castle Black, and Highgarden, meticulously recreated to reflect their on-screen appearances.

The game offers a vast open world, allowing you to explore each location freely, including the wild terrains beyond the Wall and newly unveiled towns brimming with secrets. Within these towns, unique quests and challenges await, all intricately woven into the rich lore of the Game of Thrones universe.

Beyond the main storyline, a variety of side quests keep the gameplay engaging. You can undertake optional tasks for Factions and Estates, earning rewards such as money, gear, and crafting materials. These can be used to tailor your character and gear to fit your unique playstyle.

True to the perilous nature of Westeros, your journey isn’t just about political maneuvering; there’s action and combat at every turn. The world is fraught with ruthless characters willing to kill to survive, which makes the action RPG mechanics all the more engaging.

Your combat style will depend on the character class you choose: Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin. Each class is inspired by different groups from the series. Knights wield longswords with precision, Sellswords channel the raw power of the Wildlings and Dothraki, and Assassins draw from the deadly prowess of the Faceless Men and Dornish fighters, using dual daggers with deadly agility.

Character development is rich and varied. Each class comes with specialized gear, traits, and skills. You can choose to focus on specific aspects of your character’s growth, thanks to trait trees divided into Attack, Defense, and Support, or you can mix and match for a balanced approach. Players also have four skill slots for special abilities unique to their class.

In battle, you’ll rely on more than brute force—you’ll need to analyze enemy attack patterns and respond strategically. While guarding and parrying are useful, some enemy attacks are unblockable and must be dodged, adding a layer of strategy to combat.

Aside from the engaging single-player storyline, there’s a multiplayer mode called Altar of Memories. Here, players can band together to take on legendary creatures, from enormous ice spiders to mythical unicorns from Skagos, majestic griffins, and grotesque cockatrices.
