Got it! Here’s the reworked version:
So, Summer Game Fest again, huh? Yearly tradition now — kind of like that uncle who shows up for Thanksgiving. This time, I ventured to sunny LA — loads of games, lots of buzz, and more caffeine than I care to admit. You know, the usual mix from indie gems to those massive blockbuster titles.
Honorable Mentions
Anyway, sometimes you get these behind-the-velvet-rope demos. You peek, you can’t touch. Just cutscenes mostly. So, we’re talking honorable mentions here.
Resident Evil Requiem — Capcom’s back at it with their spooky mojo. Feels eerie, feels tense, they say it’s about “addictive fear.” Think Raccoon City, two camera options, and every RE fan is probably drooling for release day.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword — Even if Onimusha’s not on your playlist, keep an eyeball on this one. It’s got this cinematic flair, folklore vibes, and it’s like a visual tapas of Japan. Hoping for more gameplay drops before 2026 hits.
Directive 8020 — Got our hands on this entry from The Dark Pictures Anthology. Supermassive did their horror homework. There’s this stealth bit — shapeshifting space monster, and yeah, sweat might’ve been involved. For more on what we saw, hit up ComingSoon.
Bandit Trap
Ah, Bandit Trap. If you’re like me with a weird love for Wii U (asymmetrical multiplayer for the win), this game’s your jam. Picture slapstick meets Home Alone — three thieves, one trap-laden house, and it’s chaos, of the fun variety.
Crimson Desert
Confession: Not a fan of the name. Sounds kind of generic, honestly. But! Dust that off, and there’s this open-world RPG wonderland. It’s messy, combat-wise — throws you into a horde of baddies out of nowhere. It’s like Zelda had a melee magic love-child.
Deadpool VR
Seeing Deadpool VR was like high-fiving past gaming memories. Twisted Pixel’s humor shines through, and, random nostalgia shoutout, Deadpool mentioning Nintendo 64 and Pokémon Snap? Chef’s kiss. Plus, Neil Patrick Harris voices Deadpool. Here’s hoping for PlayStation VR2 vibes.
Dosa Divas
If RPGs with comedic twists are your flavor, welcome Dosa Divas to your watchlist. It’s Paper Mario with a twist — fighting a fast food empire with dosas. And yes, dosas you assemble. Foodie alert here! It captures that buzz of a shared kitchen story, with a side of pun (sorry).
FBC: Firebreak
Alright, another shooter? But wait. FBC: Firebreak offers something fresh. Remedy Entertainment’s not following the herd — no money grabs, no pesky FOMO traps. Plus, it all unfolds in a shared universe, post-‘Control’. Our play session had us battling sticky note creatures. No joke. Sticky Ricky was a beast.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion
Trust me, there’s plenty to spill about Marvel Cosmic Invasion, but sorry, lips sealed for now. Promise: Details coming soon – stay tuned with our pals at ComingSoon.net.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound
Classic Ninja Gaiden gets an arcade facelift. Fans of slash-fests, this is for you. Here’s Kenji Mozu, your new ninja buddy. Side-scrolling, fast-paced, and it’s almost tailor-made for speedrunners. PC players, there’s a demo whispering your name on Steam right now.
Pragmata
Capcom’s mystery box called Pragmata, finally peeking out next year. Think futuristic shootouts with a hacking twist. Remember Pipe Mania? It’s back, but more adrenaline than nostalgia.
Ratatan
No PSP in my youth, so Ratatan’s got me catching up on what I missed with Patapon. It’s drum beats and adorable creature battles — now with roguelike flavors. Almost too cute, almost.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Elden Ring platinum? Checked. Wuchang, though, was a smackdown. Half the time, my gaming soul left my body, but I soldiered on. It’s dodge-timing magic — literally. Dogs, weapons, rhythm — all blend into this addictive cocktail.
So there we go, a whirlwind of pixels and pixels. Be back soon with more gaming rambles.
