Man, have you heard about this new game? Maximum Entertainment just spilled the beans on a release date for something they’re calling “40 Sports Games In 1” for the Nintendo Switch. Sounds kinda wild, right?
So, apparently, Breakfirst Games is behind this chaos. They’re saying it’s the biggest sports game mash-up you’ll find anywhere. Pretty ambitious if you ask me… or anyone really.
And guess what? It’s building off this earlier bundle they did — 34 Sports Games In 1. I mean, who thought that was a number to stop at? Now they’ve crammed in 40 different sports. Some of the new ones sound fun. Like Tug of War. (Seriously, can you imagine winning a virtual tug of war?) Then there’s Rowing Tow, which honestly sounds like you’re just rowing, but backwards maybe? High Jump, Taekwondo, Snowball Fight (yup, you read that right), and Triple Jump.
The idea is you can play this thing by yourself or rope in some friends and family—whoever’s around really. Every time you play, you snag some rewards or costumes. Fancy dressing up virtual avatars? This game’s got you covered if that’s your jam.
The folks at Maximum Entertainment have listed a bunch of stuff about the game. Forty sports! I mean, I couldn’t name 40 different sports if you asked me, but they’ve got everything from football to golf. And there’s weird stuff too, like paddling and Taekwondo. Heck, they’re even pushing this idea that everyone can find something to love. Or to fiercely compete over at least.
Anyway, the big news date for the worldwide digital release is August 28, 2025, on the Nintendo eShop. If you’re a fan of holding the physical game box and reading the manual for no reason, September 25, 2025, is your day if you’re in North America.
Keep an eye out for it if watching virtual characters exert themselves is your idea of a good time. Or if you just want to wield the power of 40 sports from your couch. Either way, it’s something, right?
