Man, the way I see it, Nintendo’s gone and done it again—I mean, the Switch 2 sounds like it’s giving the Xbox Series S a run for its money. Some dev working on that Wild Hearts S game said, kinda hesitant, that the Switch 2’s power is more in line with the Series S than the old PS4. Like, who would’ve guessed?
Anyway, sales are going bonkers already—3.5 million units in the first week. Boom. Just like that, breaking records like I break my resolutions every January. There’s this chat about it having 10 times the graphics power of the original Switch. And if you’ve held one of these bad boys, you might just nod along.
So, this Edagawa dude from Koei Tecmo was like, “It’s tricky to nail down.” But wow, it feels like a leap, doesn’t it? I mean, more RAM and all that jazz. Sure, the Series S does have its own muscle—faster CPU, a little extra TFLOP (whatever that even means), and a quicker GPU clock speed. But Switch 2 ups the ante with higher resolution docked and better Wi-Fi.
Nintendo’s always been kinda quirky, right? I remember the Wii days with the crazy remotes. Even if they’re not the tech powerhouse, they’ve got innovation down. This time, geez, they’re showing they can still pack a punch.
Oh, and let’s talk about the fanbase. We love Nintendo even if they don’t have the raw horsepower. This could be a sweet surprise for us gamers looking for something fresh without losing that familiar Nintendo charm. So, yeah, while it’s not gonna bench press the competition, it’s still flexing in the ring.
Seriously though, if this keeps up, Nintendo might just rewrite the script on what we expect from a home console. Who knew?
