Okay, so here we go. I was diving into this new VR game world — you know how wild those can be — when I stumbled across this thing called Animal Company. Tried not to trip over my own curiosity because, let’s be real, I get easily distracted. Anyway, I zeroed in on this shiny new update they just dropped: ‘Arena Mode’. It’s like they said, “Hey, let’s make this even more nuts!” and voilà, more chaos in our digital playground.
Imagine separating from their usual ‘Adventure Mode’. Which, by the way, was ripped right from the Lethal Company’s playbook. Arena Mode is like nothing they’ve done before — a full-on 6v6 shootout. I’m talking total mayhem. You’ve got teams, bases, and this no man’s land in the middle where your best pals turn into frenemies with pistols, shotguns, and randomly, pickaxes. Why? No clue, but it works. Like those Minecraft ‘Bed Wars’, except ore is your life line here. Infinite ammo, because why not, right? Let the spray-and-pray games begin.
Oh, and I can’t forget the tidal wave of updates this game’s been riding. Any other game drops as many add-ons as this and you’d think it’s Christmas every month. Tech Trees, Mining, Planetariums — they even threw in new maps for Adventure Mode, like a reenactment of your worst Monday at The Office. Plus a Parkour Tower which, let’s just say, my skills… not so refined there. High stakes for sure!
Speaking of stakes, did you hear how Animal Company muscled its way to the top on Quest’s charts, even rubbing out the famed Gorilla Tag? Kind of impressive, kind of expected, you know? Especially since they debuted last July. I guess it’s like that unassuming kid in high school who suddenly shows up to prom in a limo — everyone was looking. They’ve been sitting comfy as Quest’s top earner, according to those Meta chart thingies.
Oh, and if you’re eager to jump into the fray, you can snag Animal Company for free. Horizon Store’s where it’s happening for Quest 2 and up. But, heads up, sprinkle some in-game shopping in there too. Micro-transactions galore. Nice ploy, huh?
So yeah, just another day in the world of mind-bending virtual adventures. Now, if I could just figure out how to navigate that Parkour Tower without looking like a fool…
